A missing woman has been found dead

The remains of Chelsea Purman have been found in front of an empty house in Shaughnessy.
A day after the annual commemoration of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls, Vancouver police confirmed that they had found the remains of a missing 24-year-old Cree woman on the grounds of the Shawnee mansion.
Chelsea Purman, a member of the First Caucasus Nation in Saskatchewan, was last seen by her sister in an apartment in Granville and Drake on September 6, 2020. Two days later, Purman was reported missing, but Vancouver police did not release case by September 18, 2020
Police do not believe Purman died from unfair play. They believe she died shortly after she disappeared.
The statement said why chief crime investigators were at the scene on April 22 and 23 at the mansion on the south side of the quiet, cherry-strewn 36th Avenue west of busy Granville Street.
In the afternoon of April 23, a reporter filmed three marked VPD cruisers, a forensic van and two white trucks. The gates of the empty, under-renovated mansion were behind a yellow police tape. There were no vehicles parked in the driveway. Instead, a pile of construction waste in the back of the property.
It was noticed that a policeman was moving away from the scene with two machetes. Another officer in a white suit placed a green tarpaulin in a white van.
A local official said police had been there for two days, but referred a reporter to the media office. cap. Tanya Visintin would only say that the police are there for an ongoing investigation and there is no risk to the public.
Ryan Panton of the Coronation Office of British Columbia declined to confirm or deny that the coroner had been summoned. However, on May 6, Panton said the investigator was investigating but was unable to provide additional information while the investigation remained open.
The nine-room mansion was valued at $ 7.1 million last year and registered in September 2014 with Long Zhou, a businessman and housewife of Jiayu Bu. A temporary orange mesh fence along the sidewalk includes a sign for Richmond-based contractor Comfort Development.
Owner Victor Chow directed a reporter to a colleague named Kenny, who declined to comment on the incident and did not say whether the registered owners were in Vancouver.
