The Republic of Texas has declared Biden illegitimate and is pushing for an abortion to end

Republicans in Texas acted on a number of resolutions and changes to the platform of their state congress this weekend – including announcing that President Joe Biden was “not legally elected” and demanding an abortion.

The Texas Republican Congress in Houston has strengthened how many people remain stuck in the baseless allegations of former President Donald Trump about widespread fraud in the 2020 presidential election – even after a House of Representatives committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol , provided evidence that these allegations were untrue and testified from Trump’s closest advisers that they did not believe them during televised hearings.

Earlier this week, the party’s Standing Committee on Platform and Resolutions for 2022 proposed a resolution claiming that the 2020 elections violated the Constitution.

“We reject the certified results of the 2020 presidential election and believe that acting President Joseph Robinet Biden Jr. was not legitimately elected by the people of the United States,” the resolution said.

Delegates to the convention also voted in favor of a measure calling for “equal protection of the unborn.”

“We call on legislators to enact legislation to eliminate abortion by immediately ensuring the right to life and equal effect of the law for all prenatal children from the time of fertilization, as abortion violates the US Constitution by denying them equal protection.” It is stated.

Abortion is currently banned after about six weeks of pregnancy in Texas, after the U.S. legislature passed a restrictive law last year that banned abortion after the fetus’s heartbeat was detected.

But a trigger law that makes abortion illegal will take effect in Texas if the Supreme Court overturns Rowe v. Wade. A decision is expected later this month that could overturn the landmark 1973 decision guaranteeing abortion rights across the country.

The new platform of the Texas Republican Party will call on Texas students to “learn about the humanity of the unborn child,” including teaching that life begins with fertilization and watching live ultrasound.

He also described homosexuality as “an abnormal way of life” and that the party “opposes all efforts to validate transgender identity”.

The votes of congressional delegates were collected to add several elements to the official Republican Party of Texas, as the congress closed on Saturday, the Texas Tribune reported.

They handed out two sets of ballots – one asking delegates to choose eight of 15 legislative priorities, and another voting on more than 270 platforms.

The votes will be counted and verified in Austin, but it is rare for a board to be rejected, party spokesman James Wesolek told the Tribune.
