The Spurs choose Jeremy Sochan with a 9th overall pick

The NBA 2022 draft is here – just in time for the first time since 2019! – and despite many rumors about their trading, the San Antonio Spurs chose the place drawn from the lottery in 9th place overall. With their first selection in the top 10 after Tim Duncan in 1997, the Spurs selected the 6’9 “striker and Big 12 sixth man of the year Jeremy Sochan of Baylor University.

We’ll have a lot more on what this choice means for the Spurs as the night goes on, as well as reflecting on potentially three more Spurs drafts, so stay tuned for us. In the meantime, welcome to the Spurs, Jeremy!
