In a letter, the head of the UN’s human rights treaty branch, Ibrahim Salama, said it “demanded that the State party (government) refrain from withholding life-saving medical treatment, including mechanical ventilation and artificial nutrition and hydration, from an alleged victim , while the case is considered by the commission”.
