Meanwhile, several rounds of gloomy rain are likely to fall over the eastern Great Lakes on Sunday, but southern Ontario will get a decent break from the late afternoon rain with a mixture of sun and clouds as drier conditions occur.
However, as we expect clearings in the afternoon, there are likely to be isolated thunderstorms, but they will be extremely rare in nature.
There is also a risk of built-in thunderstorms, with widespread threats from southwestern Ontario to central and northern Quebec.
Several of the storms in eastern Ontario and southern Quebec could reach severe limits, with light hail and heavy rain being the main threat with the strongest built-in storms. Stronger storms capable of spinning are likely to be observed in these regions, as there is little shear in the atmosphere and they will also be moving rapidly.
We can expect additional 5-10 mm of rainfall in southern and eastern Ontario, with higher amounts possible in the countryside and further in Quebec. Locally larger amounts are possible in thunderstorms.
The high temperatures will occur during the season as a result of sun exposure among the clouds in the late afternoon.
THIS WEEK: WARMING TREND FOR CENTRAL CANADA
While Monday will be a pleasant day for the region, southwestern Ontario may find itself at the end of the Mesoscale Convection System (MCS) on Monday night as it bypasses southeast through the Midwestern United States.
If this affects the region, there may be rain and heavy storms in areas near the US border and on the western shores of Lake Erie on Monday night until the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday morning.
Meanwhile, a heat wave for buildings south of the border will begin to affect our weather this week.
A few days of over-season temperatures are likely next week in southern Ontario and Quebec, with daytime highs of more than 20 to nearly 30 possible in some areas. -cool for the whole period. The heat could also cause a risk of thunderstorms next week.
We are also watching the cold front weather towards the end of next week, which will help repel the heat and lower temperatures for the next weekend.
