The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will join the Trooping the Color royal family on Thursday – although the Queen will not be with them.
In May, Buckingham Palace announced that the Queen had decided to limit the choice of balconies to working members of the royal family, apparently excluding the couple, who abandoned royal duties in 2020, and Prince Andrew.
But the palace announced at the last minute that Harry and Megan would be watching the Queen’s greeting from the forefront with members of the monarchy from the former office of the Duke of Wellington, overlooking the Horse Guards parade.
In place of the Queen, Prince Charles will inspect the Guards and officers and greet them.
After the ceremony, the Queen will stand on the balcony of Buckingham Palace, along with her cousin, the Duke of Kent, a Scottish Guards colonel, to confirm the greetings of the returning cavalry cavalry regiment.
Later, Her Majesty will join the working royals on the balcony to observe the traditional flying past of airplanes.

The Duke of York, who shamefully left his public duties after his sex case in the United States, is not expected to join the royals.
The Sussex was now to join the congregation for Friday’s Thanksgiving service for 70 years of the Queen’s reign at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
They are traveling with their children, three-year-old Archie and Lilibet, who turns one on Saturday, and their visit to celebrate the Queen’s platinum anniversary has sparked rumors that the couple will baptize their daughter with the monarch.
This will be the first time the Duke and Duchess will bring Lilibet, named after the Queen, to the United Kingdom.

Charles, who usually takes part in the horse-riding ceremony in the role of Colonel, Welsh Guardsman, will be joined by the Duke of Cambridge, the Colonel, the Irish Guard and the Royal Princess, Colonel Blues and the Royal Members, who are also on horseback.
Members of the royal family who will travel to Troping in the traditional carriage include the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duchess of Cambridge, the Earl and Countess of Wessex and their children Lady Louise Windsor and Viscount Severn.
The Royal House has several major public events planned to mark the 1970s on the Queen’s throne.
