Timothy Shalame’s debut in London’s West End, 4000 Miles, officially canceled: “Sorry we don’t have better news”

What was supposed to be Timothy Shalame’s debut at the iconic West End in London has been canceled.
The 26-year-old Thespian was set to be the main star in the historic 4000 Miles game of the historic The Old Vic, but the legendary venue confirmed the cancellation on Thursday.
The 1,000-seat Waterloo Theater informs ticket holders by offering credit for the venue or full refund.

A statement was issued by The Old Vic, which read “After its postponement due to the pandemic and despite the enormous efforts of all participants, we now sadly and reluctantly concluded that we can not reschedule the show as soon as possible for all involved.
The show was originally scheduled for production two years ago, but was canceled due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The statement of the theater continued: “It was a long way to get to this point and despite two years of hard work to make it work, it turned out to be impossible. We are sorry that we do not have better news and we want to thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
“It’s hard to believe that almost two years have passed since the day we had to step on the Old Vic stage for the first preview to share our show with an extremely impatient audience (4000 Miles was one of the best-selling shows that someday to be scheduled in this theater). ‘

The talented actor was originally scheduled to make his West End debut on April 6, 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic closed cinemas around the world.
Born in Manhattan, New York, he had to take part in the stage production with Lady Eileen Atkins.

Quite the story: It focuses on the story of Leo (seen on the left, played by Daniel Boyd in 2013), who is 21 years old, went on a bicycle trip around the United States. He secludes himself for weeks, only to arrive at the home of his 91-year-old grandmother (seen by Sarah Kestelman) and their grief confronts as his life begins and hers almost ends.
Amy Herzog’s play was first performed outside of Broadway in 2011 and 2012 and won much praise as it won a Pulitzer Prize nomination for drama in 2013.
It focuses on the story of Leo (who was to be played by Shalamet), a 21-year-old who went cycling in the United States.
