Toby Keith announces he has stomach cancer

In a statement posted to his verified Twitter and Instagram accounts on Sunday, Keith said he was diagnosed with cancer last fall.

“I have spent the last 6 months in chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgery. So far so good. I need time to breathe, recover and relax,” the statement said. “I look forward to spending time with my family. But I’ll see the fans soon. I can’t wait. -T.”
