Toronto police are investigating a home raid, a shooting

Two people were injured after breaking into a home and shooting in Toronto early Saturday morning.

Officers responded to a shooting at a David Dunlap Circle townhouse complex near Don Mills Road and Green Belt Drive just before 3 a.m.

Police say a group of men forcibly broke into a home through a balcony door and shot dead one person.

Another person was injured after being hit by a bullet, police said.

One person was transported to a hospital in serious condition, without danger to life, according to paramedics in Toronto.

The victim is expected to fully recover.

The other victim was not taken to hospital.

The suspects reportedly fled in a dark car.

Description of the suspects has not been released.

A neighbor showed CP24 blood stains on their front steps and the front doorbell and said one of the victims appeared to have approached their house for help, but a neighbor said they had not heard anyone at their door.

Police remain on the scene and are asking neighbors for any surveillance cameras that could help with the investigation.
