Tory candidate in Wakefield by-elections says Brexit is “built on lies” and regrets voting for it

The Conservative candidate in the by-elections has to say that the Brexit campaign is “built on lies” and that he regrets voting for it.

Nadim Ahmed, who is fighting to stay in Wakefield for Boris Johnson, also warned that leaving the EU has sparked an increase in racist attacks and supported a second referendum.

“I voted to leave and I regret the decision. “All my friends who voted in this way are the same,” the then Wakefield Council leader told a newspaper shortly after the 2016 referendum.
