Tribute to a woman found dead at Queen’s Park in Brighton

ADVISOR will seek assurances from the authorities after the tragic death of a woman in one of the city’s parks.

Emergency services were called after the woman was found unconscious in Queens Park in West Drive, Brighton on Friday.

She was pronounced dead at about 10 p.m.

Her death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Nick Childs, a labor adviser at Queen’s Park, said she would seek “additional details and assurances” from authorities along with fellow councilor Amanda Evans.

He said: “Every death is a tragedy and our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of the deceased.

“The circumstances of the death are not fully known at this time, but Cllr Evans and I will work with the authorities to seek further details and assurances.

Police have cordoned off Queen’s Park while investigations continue.

Search teams also arrived yesterday to inspect the park.

One woman said, “It’s so awful. Poor woman and so terrible for her family and friends. I live two minutes from the park and I’m shocked to hear that.

“It’s awful, it just shows you that it doesn’t matter what area of ​​life you come from or where you live, that it’s happening right under your nose. The heart is breaking. ”

Another added, “God bless her and her friends and family, may she rest in peace.”

Sussex police are calling for information about the incident.

A spokesman said: “Emergency services were called after an unconscious woman was found in Queens Park, West Drive, Brighton, at 9:49 p.m. on Friday, June 17.

“Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene and the investigation is ongoing. Her death is currently being treated as unexplained.

“Anyone with information about the incident has been asked to report online or call 101, citing Operation Ranworth.
