Trudeau again tested positive for COVID-19

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said he had tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time.

In a tweet posted Monday morning, Trudeau said he would “follow public health guidelines and isolate himself.”

Trudeau was in Los Angeles last week to attend the America’s Summit, where he met with a number of senior officials, including US President Joe Biden.

“I feel good, but it’s because I got hit. So, if you are not, get vaccinated – and if you can, get stronger. “Let’s protect our healthcare system, each other and ourselves,” the prime minister wrote.

This is his second confirmed COVID-19 infection since a positive COVID-19 test in January.

The prime minister had previously said he had been exposed to the virus twice: in March 2020, he went into 14-day isolation after his wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, tested positive for COVID-19, and in late December 2021. He said he was doing regular and self – monitoring tests after some members of his staff and security details tested positive.

I tested positive for COVID-19. I will follow public health guidelines and isolate myself. I feel good, but it’s because I took the pictures. So, if you are not, get vaccinated – and if you can, get stronger. Let’s protect our health care system, each other and ourselves.
