Former President Donald Trump issued a 12-page rebuttal on Monday in response to evidence presented at a Jan. 6 hearing, likening it to the Kangaroo Court to distract the American people ahead of the November by-elections.
“Our nation is SUFFERING. Our economy is in a gutter. Inflation is rampant. Gas prices have reached all-time highs. Ships cannot unload cargo. Families cannot get the necessary baby formula. We are a disgrace all over the world, “Trump said in a rebuttal circulated through his PAC Save America.

Trump has accused Democrats of focusing on the events of Jan. 6, while failing to offer solutions to the country’s problems.
“Democrats are desperate to change the narrative of a failing nation, not to mention the chaos and death caused by the radical left just months earlier,” Trump said. “Make no mistake, they control the government. They own this catastrophe. They hope that these hearings will somehow change their failed prospects.”

Trump is using much of the 12-page document to reiterate his baseless claims that the 2020 presidential election was allegedly “rigged and stolen.”
“Politicians on both sides, but mostly Democrats, have worked with corporate elites to deprive Americans of our right to elect their own leaders,” Trump said.

He added: “The establishment is holding on to its power as tightly as possible as they watch it slip out of their grip. Our country is diving. Americans are struggling to fill their gas tanks, feed their babies, educate their children, hire employees, order supplies, protect our border from invasions and many other tragedies that are 100% caused by Democrats who came to power through rigged elections , and the people of our country are both angry and sad. “

The rebuttal came on the second day of a House of Representatives committee investigating the events of January 6, 2021. The nine-member commission is trying to prove that Trump and those allies who helped him deliberately lied while running election lies in the weeks before the violent an uprising that the rebels who stormed the Capitol that day and cut off President Joe Biden’s testimony to victory repeated Trump’s lies that he, not Biden, had won the election rightfully.
