The number of business leaders who signed a letter calling for “bold action” from the Senate against gun violence has risen to more than 500, organizers said Friday, as a last sign that the corporate community is eager to see action in response to the recent wave from mass shootings.
The letter, coordinated by the Everytown Arms Security Advocacy Group, was published last week with about 220 signatures. Some of the new signatories are Yahoo, Golden State Warriors, Squarespace, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Guardians, Penguin Random House, Macmillan Publishers, Alliant Insurance Services and La Colombe Coffee Roasters.
