Several actors and cast members from the upcoming Netflix series have been implicated in a fatal car crash in Mexico on Thursday (June 16th). According to the Baja California Department of Culture, two actors, Raimundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco Gonzalez Aguilar, were killed in the incident and six unnamed actors and crew were injured. They were riding in a van on their way to an airport in Mexico when the van crashed and overturned, according to the deadline. Redrum, the company’s producer, has suspended production and said the six injured, two other cast members and four crew members are in stable condition.
The Choice, which differs from the Brazilian thriller show, is based on the American Jesus comic book series by Mark Millar and Peter Gross. Next is a 12-year-old boy who learns that Jesus Christ is back, destined to save humanity. Vulture turned to Netflix for comment on the car crash.
