Two men killed in a crash on James Callaghan Drive, Portsmouth

TWO men have died in a crash that left a teenage boy with serious injuries.

A 48-year-old man from Gosport and a 44-year-old man from Fareham died at the scene while a 13-year-old boy was taken to Southampton General Hospital.

Officers investigating the crash between a black Peugeot 207 and a gray Renault Megane are appealing for witnesses.

The 48-year-old man from Gosport was the driver of the Renault while the 44-year-old from Fareham was driving the Peugeot.

The boy was a passenger in the Renault.

The victims’ next of kin have been informed and are supported by specialist officers.

The incident happened just before 7.10pm on Monday, May 30 on James Callaghan Drive, Portsmouth.

Sergeant Spencer Wragg said: “We are currently carrying out our investigation to establish the exact circumstances of this incident.

“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident. Did you see either vehicle being driven in the area prior to the collision? Were you driving through the area, and do you have any dash-cam footage?

“If you have any information please contact us as soon as possible.”
