The summer wave of Covid-19 appears to be peaking, with cases at their highest level since April.
Around one in 17 people are infected, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) weekly infection survey found. However, hospital admissions are falling and the increase in cases has started to stabilize.
A total of 3.76 million people in the UK had the virus in the week ending July 13, up from 3.5 million the previous week.
