Numerous roads were blocked in the village of Cropston this morning due to an “ongoing incident”, police said. Motorcyclists are advised to avoid the area until further notice.
Leicestershire police have closed Reservoir Road in the village of Charnwood, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring website. There was a report of an accident between Lodge Lane and Station Road, near the Badgers Sett pub.
Forces confirmed the closure of roads on Cropston Road, Station Road, Reservoir Road and Causeway Lane on social media this morning. A tweet from the official account read: “There will now be a closed road at the intersection of Cropston Road, Station Road, Reservoir Road & Causeway Lane. It will remain closed until further notice, thank you again for your patience.
The nature of the incident is currently unknown. We contacted the Leicestershire Police Communications Team for more information.
