Police were called to a home on Bruce Street in East Vancouver around 3 a.m. for signals of an attack, according to a spokesman for Sgt. Steve Addison.
“Upon arrival, officers found a 23-year-old man seriously injured outside the house. The man later died of his injuries,” Addison said in a statement.
Photos from the scene show an increased police presence. A yellow ribbon from the crime scene is placed in front of the house, as well as in the alley behind it.
A 27-year-old man has been detained and remains in custody.
