No arrests have been made yet.

Crisis wrote on Twitter: “Walthamstow, if you were on Orford Road near my office between 5.30pm and 8pm today, please come forward to help us catch the cowards who attacked my office.

“Please share to help find out who did this – you can also provide anonymous information about stop crimes on 0800 555 111.”

Earlier on Tuesday, Crisis told the Guardian that he would amend the forthcoming British rights bill to give women the basic right to abortion.

She said she expects a free vote of MPs on the issue and the amendment will be tabled when the bill is published at second reading.

“Most women in the UK do not realize that abortion is not a right, but there is only a law that exempts from prosecution in certain circumstances,” she said.

“What the United States is teaching us is that we cannot be complacent about enshrining these rights in law.”

The Waltham Forest Police Department tweeted: “Anyone with information, please call Met on 101 and quote ref 7222 / 28jun.”
