The little goose cannot escape from the bear.
Warning: Some people may find the video disturbing.
A few people had a little more excitement than usual at the Central Park pitch and bat this weekend.
In a video posted to Reddit, a black bear can be seen running across the field, chasing a group of Canada geese through a group of people. As the bear runs through the area, people scatter, although the bear appears to be targeting a goose, which appears to be a goose.
The video ends when the bear catches him.
The video was shot over the Canada Day long weekend in the popular Burnaby Park, which borders Vancouver. There are no reports of anyone being attacked or injured by the bear while it was in the area.
A second video has surfaced showing the same bear around the same time in Central Park, near Patterson Station. This video was taken on July 2, around 2:30 p.m., according to Sebastian Plusa, who posted it online.
A group of people follow the bear into the park from a distance.
Commenters on the video online noted with surprise how deep into the city it had gone. Central Park is quite far from the large wooded areas that bears prefer. Burnaby Lake Park is less than 5 km from Central Park, but is also separated by large forested areas.
Vancouver Is Awesome has contacted the Ministry of the Environment to confirm if the bear has been tranquilized and removed from the area.
