Shocking new video obtained by The Post shows the harrowing moment Manhattan bodega worker Jose Alba may have been stabbed while fighting back and fatally slashing a violent ex-con who attacked him.
In the chilling footage, Alba, 61, fights back and slashes career criminal Austin Simon at the Manhattan boutique on July 1 – while the ex-convict’s girlfriend appears to pull a knife from her bag and try to stab the worker.
Simon is later pronounced dead, while Alba is charged with his murder.

The footage gives a new look at the bloody exchange. Simon’s unidentified girlfriend has not been charged in the case.
The new footage shows Simon, 35, from a different angle, going behind the counter and confronting Alba, who then fights with the younger man and pulls a knife from the candy shelf.
Alba is seen stabbing Simon repeatedly, and after a few minutes, the woman, who has been identified as Simon’s girlfriend, pulls a knife from her purse and tries to stab the worker.

The bodega employee’s attorney said during the arraignment last week that Simon’s girlfriend stabbed the worker three times in the shoulder and arm.
The new footage shows Simon lying on the back of the till in a pool of blood. Alba can be seen in the background, still holding the bloody knife.
The friend is seen crying and appears to try to revive Simon at one point.
The woman appears to be trying to stab Alba after the worker fatally slashes Simon.
Police arrive and take Alba, who suffered visible stab wounds to her shoulder, into custody.
The video comes after earlier surveillance footage showed Alba being thrown into a wall by Simon, and another of Alba pleading with the younger man after he barges in.
“Dad, I don’t want trouble,” Alba says in one of the earlier clips.
The woman spoke to police after Simon’s murder.
The hard-working immigrant was charged with second-degree murder and was being held on $250,000 bail, while prosecutors negotiated a $5,000 bond last week.
Alba is now at home under strict supervision pending his next court appearance.
