Breakfast at Gino D’Acampo’s Italian restaurant – Luciano in Alderley Edge – was evacuated after a fire broke out. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Teams were called to the Wilmslow Road Dining Room at 6:21 p.m. tonight (Saturday).
The restaurant was cleared of guests after the fire – in a gap in the attic on the ground floor – broke out, a spokesman for the fire service said. Manchester evening news .
Four fire engines were present, as well as police. Crews from Wilmslow, Macclesfield and Greater Manchester were stationed.

A spokesman said: “We were called at 18:21 on Wilmslow Road in Alderley Edge for a fire in a commercial building. The fire is in the roof space. We currently have one engine from Wilmslow and one from Macclesfield,
“Two firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus, one hose reel was used. The building was evacuated. This is a two-story building with a fire in the roof gap in the attic on the ground floor. They use hose reel nozzles and cover reel jet.
The fire was also extinguished by two engines from the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, the spokesman added. The two engines left the scene at 7.30pm.
