Weinberg freshman Daniel Perelman dies after plane crash

Weinberg freshman Daniel Perelman died after a plane crash in Vauvatos, Wisconsin on Thursday, authorities said Monday.

Perelman, a student pilot, was the only person in a Cessna 152 to crash in the backyard. He was taken to hospital shortly afterwards and was pronounced brain dead on Saturday.

Northwest Chabad is hosting a gathering in Perelman’s memory at the Tannenbaum Chabad House, which begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday, and the university will host a space tomorrow night at Willard Housing College.
