Westlink accident: A motorcyclist dies after an accident with one vehicle

A motorcyclist died after a car crash on a Westlink in Belfast.

Police say the man died Sunday night, June 19th.

A PSNI spokesman said: “The man died on the spot after the motorcycle he was riding hit the central reserve just before 7 p.m.

“The collision investigation is ongoing and anyone who has witnessed the collision or who has taken footage from the control camera that could help in the investigation has been asked to contact the staff of the collision investigation department by calling 101 , citing reference number 1640 19/06/22. Westlink is now open again. ”

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service told Belfast Live earlier that they had received a call from 999 at 6:53 p.m. “following reports of an RTC involving a West Link motorcycle in Belfast”.

A NIAS spokesman added that “they have sent two emergency teams to the incident”.

They continued: “After the assessment and initial treatment, no patients were taken from the scene.”
