What time does the hike start, where does it go, and a full schedule

London Pride returns this weekend with the biggest event in its history, featuring artists on four stages across central London.

Pop superstar Ava Max will close the show on the Trafalgar Square stage in an event celebrating 50 years since London’s first ever Pride march in 1972.

Emelie Sande, Eurovision-winning singer Netta and pop and soul icon Samantha Mumba will also be guests on stage.

This is on top of his iconic parade that will pass through the city.

Here’s everything you need to know about the event.

When is London Pride?

London Pride will take place on Saturday 2nd July.

The Pride Parade will start at midday from Hyde Park Corner, while the Haymarket Grandstand will be open from 11am.

What is the parade route?

The parade will start from the first podium at Hyde Park Corner and pass along the end of Green Park, retracing part of the historic route from the original 1972 Pride March.

It will then reach the second podium at Piccadilly Circus before turning right and heading towards Charing Cross. There is a third podium at the top of Orange Street.

The route will continue along The Mall before coming to a stop not far from Horse Guards Parade.

Organizers said they expected the areas around Piccadilly Circus and Trafalgar Square to be very busy.

What else is there at London Pride?

Following the parade, the four stages in Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, Golden Square and the Soho Stage on Dean Street will host more than 100 performers, including stars and celebrities from the LGBT+ community.

Organizers have worked to give prominence to members of all genders, sexualities and heritages, making room for all parts of London’s rich diversity.

Performers on stage on Pride Day include: Tony nominee Justin Vivian Bond, stars of the recent Pride Proud & Loud concert at the Royal Albert Hall, Kat Burns and Arion, along with RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars The Vivienne, Laurence Chaney, Tia Coffey and Victoria Scone, Dreya Mac, Siena Liggins, London Gay Big Band, Mila Jam, Bang Bang Romeo and Jack Hawitt, plus Cedric Neill and Matt Willis from Kinky Boots the Musical in Concert at Drury Lane, plus the cast of & Juliet .

The Leicester Square stage is dedicated to female-identifying, non-binary and trans artists, hosting a line-up including July Jones, Eddy Luna, Prya, Krystal Lake, Poppy Ajudha, Pre Wavy, Girli, Drag Syndrome and Justin Bond, Eloise Viola, drag king Christian Adore, Jen Ives and El Conchitas.

Throughout the day, stages will be hosted by a cast including Adele Roberts, Charlie Powell, Will Njobwu, Kate Holderness, Michael Thwaites from Pride’s Got Talent, Asifa Lahore, Boo, Louis Cypher and many more names to be announced.
