WhatsApp now allows users to hide profile photos, “Last seen” from specific people

Meta-owned WhatsApp has announced that it is introducing new options to your privacy control settings to further protect users’ privacy online.

My contacts other than…: Your last appointment, profile picture, information or status will be available to your contacts from your address book, except those you exclude.

Nobody: Your last view, profile picture, or status will not be available to anyone.

The company also said keep in mind what you share.

“We encourage you to think carefully before you decide to share something with your WhatsApp contacts. Think about whether you would like others to see what you have sent, “the company said.

WhatsApp said there is also a location feature that users can use to share their location in a WhatsApp message. Users should only share their location with people they trust.
