MILWAUKEY (AP) – A 34-year-old man from Wisconsin has been charged with the deaths of six people who were found dead in January at a duplex in Milwaukee.
The bail was set at $ 1 million on Sunday for Travis Lamar Berkeley, who has been charged with six counts of aggravated murder. A lawyer representing Berkeley at the hearing declined to comment.
The six victims were found with gunshot wounds on January 23, but court documents describing the charges against Berkeley suggest they may have been killed three days earlier.
Investigators have linked Berkeley to the killings with cell phone data, including selfies, which appear to have been taken in the basement of the home, where the bodies were found hours after the victims were believed to have been killed on Jan. 20.
Court documents also say a witness told police Berkeley admitted to killing the six with his cousin during a failed drug robbery, WISN reported. Court documents say the shell casings found at the scene came from two different pistols.

The witness, who was not identified in court documents, also told police he saw Berkeley with a gun, money and drugs believed to belong to one of the victims after they died.
The complaint against Berkeley did not identify his cousin by name. No further arrests have been made in connection with the case, but police said there was no further information Sunday.
Authorities had previously identified the six victims as Michelle Williams, 49; Donta Williams, 44; Donald Smith, 43; Charles Hardy, 42; Giavoni Lidel, 31; and Caleb Jordan, 23. Michelle Williams, Three of the victims lived in the home where the bodies were found.
