Victoria Police say a woman has been arrested for driving while impaired after driving her vehicle into a lake near the intersection of Dallas Road and Government Street.
At around 9.30pm last night, officers were called to the intersection to reports of a car in a body of water.
When officers found the woman at the scene, the woman appeared to be intoxicated and tried to run away.
The cops caught her and she was arrested for driving under the influence.
VicPD says no one was injured in the incident.
The woman was transported to VicPD cells for investigation into impaired driving and was held until she sobered up. She has since been released pending a court date.
Officers are recommending that DUI charges be filed.
