If you’re something of a Wordle fan and you’ve managed to build a decent winning streak, then you don’t want a bad day to ruin your momentum. While Wordle can be extremely difficult, the concept itself is relatively simple. Using the elimination process, you will need to understand a five-letter word for only six assumptions.
It’s all about the color of the tiles. If the letter plate turns gray after one of your assumptions, you can conclude that this particular letter is not present in today’s word.
If the tile turns yellow, then the letter is in the word, just not in the right place, while a green tile means that the letter is in the word and in the right position.
The goal is to solve each puzzle with as few guesses as possible. You can then share your progress on social media by showing friends, family and random followers how smart you are.
If you can’t solve the puzzle, then you will have to wait until the next day for a new Wordle to be released. And because the Wordle site tracks your statistics, failure means losing your hard-won winning streak – something I’ll remind you of every time you log in.

General tips and tricks for Wordle …
• Do not use the same letter twice in your initial assumption.
• Try to use several vowels in your first guess, especially ‘A’ and ‘E’.
• Avoid letters like ‘X’, ‘Z’ and ‘Q’ until later, when you have a better idea of the answer.
• ‘RAISE’ is a good word to start with, while ‘TOUCH’ is a decent second guess. I also like to use the word “CRANE” as an initial guess.
