WWDC: Last minute rumors
Apple Store not working: As usual, Apple has removed its online store in preparation for today’s keynote speech. The message is different – instead of “I’ll be right back” with the Apple logo, there’s a WWDC image titled “News Development.” It says, “We’re updating the Apple Store.” Check back after the event, streaming on apple.com or in the Apple TV app. Remarkably, this is the first time since 2017 that Apple took down Apple’s online store during a keynote address by WWDC. In the same year, the HomePod and iMac Pro were unveiled, but were not delivered much later.
Apple
MacBook Air: Mark Gourmet and Ming-Chi Kuo agree that Apple plans to launch a redesigned MacBook Air at WWDC. However, it may not appear in the variety of colors we expected. Gourmet says rumors of a number of new colors are “probably exaggerated”, and Kuo says the new laptop will be available in three standard color options (silver, space gray, gold) plus [probably] a new color. “
Adding fuel to the rumors, a 14-inch MacBook Air with an M2 processor, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage was found in B&H Photo. However, a tweet from Sean C. Steiner, who describes himself as a senior manager of web creative content in BiH, says B&H has previously made lists of products that are “rumors-based assumptions” (more on this after a while. ) and this could be what is happening here and with …
13-inch MacBook Pro: Gourmet says the schedule for the 13-inch MacBook Pro has been “discarded” due to supply disruptions and is likely to hit the market sometime in the fall. 9to5Mac also unveiled an ad in B&H Photo for a 13-inch MacBook Pro with an M2 processor, but again, this is probably B&H’s rumor-based speculation.
These are not real SKUs. Preventively done before the last event and not removed properly. All assumptions are based on rumors.

Mac mini tower: Another photo from B&H, the one for Mac mini tower with 8GB RAM, 256GB memory and M1 Pro processor. A BiH official says the list was made as a prelude to the “latest event” and was never removed from the site.
M2 Mac mini: Another list of B&H Photo “I guess” that has never been downloaded is the M2 Mac mini with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Mac Pro: Ian Zelbo, the artist responsible for Apple’s concept illustrations at Front Page Tech, believes that B&H has also given the upcoming release of Apple Silicon Mac Pro, describing the current model as “Discontinued Item”. (However, we were unable to confirm this. All Mac Pro models we can see there appear to be available for purchase, with expected shipments ranging from two to eight weeks.)
Zelbo also claims that Apple has set up an intro video for the Mac Pro on YouTube as private, which could be additional evidence for the new Mac Pro.
AR Headphones: Although there was some hope that Apple would offer a preview of its upcoming AR headphones, reports now say it is unlikely to appear at the event.
watchOS 9: MyHealthyApple has spotted an FDA 501 (K) file that points to new features of the Apple Watch that allow users to see the history of their atrial fibrillation readings.
