Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is already the best seller on the eShop, unsurprisingly

It’s the launch weekend for Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and while there was a lot of demand for the physical versions of the game, it seems that many people are still opting for the digital version of the title.

For some, these purchases may even be due to the delays associated with the more luxurious collector’s editions. According to the US eShop charts, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is now ahead of Minecraft.

Even games like Nintendo Switch Sports and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – two titles that just received DLC updates. Digimon Survive also snuck in at number six, with Live A Live at number 9 at the time of writing.

It’s the same situation in places like the UK – Xenoblade is in front, ahead of games like Among Us, FIFA 22 and Mario Kart. And in Japan, the game is also in first place. To add to that, it is also charted on websites like Amazon.

Again, not a bad start for an RPG series like this. The previous game Xenoblade Chronicles 2 has sold over 2 million copies and the Definitive Edition on Switch of the original game has sold more than 1.5 million copies.
