Our Yorkshire farm star Amanda Owen has confirmed that she and her husband Clive have separated.

The star of the farm reality show and best-selling author issued a joint statement with Clive on social media, saying that the couple had made “the difficult decision to separate.”

The statement continued: “It was not easy, but we both believe that this is the right choice for the future of our family.

“Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and parent together with our number one priority, the happiness and well-being of our children.”

The couple added that they would like to thank everyone for their support and asked for privacy while “experiencing this difficult time”.

This comes after months of speculation about the couple’s marriage, which is being talked about in the village of Swaledale.

The couple shared a joint statement on social media, in which they confirmed that they separated earlier today.

They issued a statement late last year insisting they had not separated but described “stony spots”.

The couple, who star in a Channel 5 series about life on the Ravenseat farm in Swaledale, admitted to going through “rocky spots” in October and said they “never said our marriage was perfect” after locals revealed that they lived separated for months.

In October, the couple took steps to tackle intense speculation with a joint statement: “With TV shows and books, we have always strived to show the reality of life on the farm, and like any marriage we have our stresses and strains combined with the whole the complexity of what we do on the farm and raising nine children.

“We are a normal family and we have never said that our marriage is perfect. Unfortunately, the constant invasion of our lives by the media has intensified a rocky spot we are going through. We ask the media to respect our privacy as we work on this issue.

The couple shared nine children together and they met in 2000, after meeting five years earlier.

Last year, neighbors told MailOnline that the couple had lived apart for months after Amanda “came into the spotlight” on her Channel 5 program.

The couple, known as the “Kardashians of the countryside”, are said to be “fighting to save their marriage” after more than two decades.

Mr Owen, who had been married to another woman for 13 years, was described as “desperate” to mend his relationship amid “fears” that their marriage would end in divorce.

Mr. and Mrs. Owen became adored TV stars through the 2018 Channel 5 Our Yorkshire Farm show, after first appearing on the 2011 ITV series The Dales.

The program follows them and their nine children around the 2,000-acre Ravenseat farm as they struggle with the harsh elements to cope with rural responsibilities.

But the hard way of life portrayed in the series seems to have paid off, with the couple’s separation becoming a “village tale”.

Ms. Owen is believed to have moved into their holiday home, The Firs, located on top of the Upper Swaledale, in a valley surrounded by five acres of meadows and pastures, while Mr Owen remained on the farm, according to villagers. .

The six-bedroom villa can be reached privately behind three gates and dates back to at least the seventeenth century.

It has a number of original features, including stone floors, beamed ceilings, whitewashed walls and a traditional Yorkshire black range.

The couple rented the Ravenseat farm and its land from billionaire Robert Miller, co-founder of DFS (Duty Free Shops) and the father of Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, Princess Alexandra von Furstenberg and Pia Getty – these are girls from the 90s.
