Kam Ayala from Bachelor Nation copes with the challenges of life with a smile on her face.
Kam, who appeared in the 15th season of The Bachelorette and the sixth season of Bachelor in Paradise in 2019, was recently amputated on his right leg after a lifelong battle with lymphedema, a chronic disease that causes fluid to build up in soft tissues and causes swelling of the hands and feet.
Cam shared photos and videos after the operation in an Instagram post on June 24, one of which shows Cam walking down the corridors of Texas Medical Center using a walker. A friend is heard encouraging Kam from behind the camera, saying, “Great job, man.”
The Instagram post read: “Gotta lotta BROMENTUM with @ b.rapp #amputee #CAMputee #FAITHoverFEAR”
Earlier this month, Kam teamed up with Oscar winner Katie Bates, who also suffers from lymphedema, to raise awareness of the condition and revealed her choice to undergo an amputation procedure.
