HARRISON DISTRICT, Iowa (KTIV) – Authorities in western Iowa say a man is missing after a boat sank in the Missouri River.
Harrison County officials say they received a signal Sunday before midnight that a boat was taking in water and sinking. The accident happened on the Missouri River south of the Remington boat.
Numerous agencies responded, and when the first crews arrived, they found a boat rescuing subjects from the river. Respondents interviewed everyone involved and confirmed that a woman had disappeared.
The female has not been identified yet. Efforts have been made to restore the boat and the missing person.
The investigation continues.
