A 56-year-old man died after a tractor-trailer crashed into his motorcycle on Friday in the Prince of Wales, NB
The man is from Muscoos, about 20 kilometers southwest of St. John.
The RCMP Grand Bay-Westfield, the Muscovy Fire Department, the New Brunswick Ambulance and the Department of Public Safety responded to the incident shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Highway 1.
Authorities believe the collision occurred when the tractor was traveling east and collided with a motorcycle that was parked at the end of the highway.
They believe that the motorcycle hit the driver who was standing next to him.
The driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital. He was later pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
The driver and the only passenger in the tractor-trailer were not injured.
An RCMP collision reconstruction specialist assists in investigating the cause.
