A man was seriously injured in a collision with Hamilton

Police are looking to identify a man who was seriously injured after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his scooter in Mount Hamilton early Saturday morning.

A man was riding his electric scooter around 1:30 a.m. when he was struck by a Honda Civic traveling north on Upper Kenilworth Avenue near Landron Avenue, according to police.

The 20-year-old driver stopped his vehicle and called 911, police said.

The man on the scooter suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

“Due to the seriousness of the injuries, the Hamilton Police Collision Reconstruction Unit has been activated and is conducting the investigation,” police said in a news release Saturday.

Police said the identity of the man on the scooter is unknown and are appealing to the public to help identify him.

He is described as a white male, five feet seven to five feet nine inches tall, between 160 and 170 pounds and wearing a white bandana on his head.

His scooter is described as a black Gyrocopters brand with red details.
