A man was stabbed in a Chinese restaurant during a “targeted” attack in downtown Birmingham. The victim, aged 40, was stabbed to death on the spot in the bustling Southside neighborhood after being stabbed in a downtown restaurant on Saturday (June 11th).
Paramedics were warned about a restaurant called XiaoFanHe between Horse Fair and Thorp Street. West Midlands police sealed the scene as shoppers and spectators at the theater at the nearby Birmingham Racecourse watched around 5:50 p.m.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment of stab wounds. West Midlands police said his injuries were not life-threatening.

Officials say the stabbing was a “targeted attack,” the force said. They wanted to hear from anyone who had information to help with their investigations.
A West Midlands police spokesman said: “We are investigating after a man was stabbed in downtown Birmingham last night (June 11th). It happened at a Chinese restaurant near Horse Fair around 5:50 p.m.

“A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital, but fortunately his injuries are not serious. We believe that this was a targeted attack.
