Adele abruptly stopped her concert at the BST festival in London’s Hyde Park after being alerted to fans needing help on Friday.

In footage captured by an audience member, the 34-year-old singer can be heard belting out the first line of Skyfall as she spots them waving.

Adele immediately stopped singing and sent security into the crowd of 65,000 to help, urging people to “get out of the way”.

Quick answer: Adele, 33, abruptly stopped her concert at the BST festival in Hyde Park London after being alerted to a fan who needed help by security on Friday

The megastar could be seen pointing at the audience and yelling, “Stop, stop, security?”

She also checked on the unwell showgoer by shouting from the stage: “Do you need help from security? They are coming.

Trying to direct the medical team to the person in need, Adele added, “Right in the middle, see where they’re all waving?”

As medics tried to reach the guest, Adele could be heard asking the crowds to get out of their way.

It comes as Adele was overcome with emotion as she took to the stage in front of 65,000 people as she returned for her first concert in five years.

The singer, who wore an elegant black dress with an off-the-shoulder neckline, held back tears as she addressed the audience and told them she was “fucking it” after performing her first song.

Standing in the early evening sun, the sequined detail of her dress sparkled as she performed, and Adele exclaimed “I’m so happy to be back” as she looked out over the huge crowd.

Adele opened with her first song and encouraged the star-studded crowd, which included Tom Cruise, to sing along with her. Adele soon got into it, as three songs into it she declared, “Oh my God, I’m back home.”

The star reportedly only performed five songs from her latest record 30, including I Drink Wine, and instead opted to treat the audience to some of her classics rather than playing the entire album.

Adele has had vocal problems before, but she kept them at bay during the performance by sipping a hot drink to soothe her throat.

The crowd was almost as star-studded as her private show An Audience With Adele in March earlier this year, when she attracted the likes of James Corden, Cameron Diaz, Niall Horan and Millie Bobby Brown.

It marked Adele’s first public show since headlining two Wembley concerts in 2017. She postponed her Las Vegas residency in January.

Earlier in the day, Adele was said to have performed a three-song sound check ahead of the massive concert.

Incredible: During the performance, the singer opted for a make-up palette of gold and bronze shades and wore her hair in a neat updo

Before taking the stage, Adele was supported by an all-female cast including Gabrielle and Self Esteem and country singer Kacey Musgraves.

After playing the show, Adele was expected to join family and friends in the backstage bar, which she renamed ‘The Queen Vic’, as part of her rider for the two-night gig.

During the performance, the singer opted for make-up in a palette of gold and bronze shades and put her hair back in a neatly styled updo.
