The A57 Snake Pass was closed in both directions this afternoon due to reports of a serious collision.
Emergency services were called on the bypass between Glossop and Sheffield at around 1pm this afternoon (June 3rd) following reports of a crash.
The road is closed in both directions between Hurst Road near the Royal Oak Inn and A6013 at Ladybower Reservoir. No further details on the nature of the crash or whether anyone was injured have been reported at this stage.

Traffic site, INRIX said: “A57 Snake Pass closed in both directions, slow traffic due to a serious collision between Hurst Road (Royal Oak Inn) and A6013 (Ladybower Reservoir)”.
In a Twitter post, Derbyshire police said: “The A57 Snake Pass is currently closed between Glossop and The Snake Inn in Bamford due to a serious collision. Please avoid the area and find an alternative route.”
