An American customs and border patrol agent, who is out of work, fearlessly rushed to elementary school Rob with the barber’s rifle and saved dozens of children and his daughter after his wife sent him a message that he had an active shooter.
Jacob Albarado had just sat down to get a haircut when he received a horrific message from his wife, Trisha, a fourth-grade teacher at Uwalde Elementary School in Texas, he told The New York Times.
“There is an active shooter,” she wrote. “Help,” she sent before sending a chilling, “I love you.”
He immediately jumped up, grabbed his razor, and headed for school.
His daughter, a sophomore, was locked in the bathroom while his wife hid under desks with her students, the Times reported.
In another wing of the school, 18-year-old insane shooter Salvador Ramos opened fire and eventually killed 19 children and two teachers.
A tactical team was preparing to enter the school where the killer was when Albarado arrived on the scene. Desperate to get his daughter and wife out, he made a plan with other officers to try to enter the school and evacuate as many students as possible.

He said he entered the wing of the school where he knew his daughter was, and while looking for her, he began “clearing all the classes in her wing,” he told The Times.
Two police officers provided cover with weapons removed, while two others brought dozens of “hysterical” children and teachers to the sidewalk, he said.
When Albarado finally saw his 8-year-old daughter, Jada, they hugged, but he moved on to get more students to safety.

“I did what I was trained to do,” Albarado told the newspaper.
In a Facebook post shortly after midnight on Wednesday morning, Albarado said one of his daughters’ teammates and friends was among the 19 students killed.
“I am so angry, sad and grateful at the same time. “Only time will heal their pain and hopefully changes will be made in all schools in the United States and teachers will be trained and allowed to wear to protect themselves and their students,” he wrote.
