Potstown Mayor Justin Keller said four people were killed and at least two were injured in an explosion at a house on Thursday night. Two people are still unknown, Keller said. There is no information what caused the explosion of the house.

POTSTOWN, Pennsylvania – Four people were killed and at least two were injured in an explosion at a house in Potstown on Thursday night.

Ambulances were called to Block 400 on North Washington Street around 8 p.m. to signal a house explosion.

Potstown Mayor Justin Keller told reporters that two other people may be unaccounted for.

Photos posted on social media by reporter Evan Brand show a massive field of debris. Brand reports that neighboring homes have also been damaged.

Katie Washabo, who lives down the street from the blast, told FOX 29 that her entire building was shaking.

“We thought it was either an earthquake or someone crashing into the building,” Washabo said.

People in the neighboring areas, miles away, reported feeling the explosion.

There is no information what caused the explosion of the property.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) responded to the scene in addition to local police and firefighters.

Potstown Superintendent Stephen Rodriguez said all Potstown schools would be closed on Friday.

Officials will provide new information about the explosion of the house on Friday at 12 o’clock
