A bombing email from The Washington Post and CNN revealed new information about a scheme devised by former President Donald Trump’s campaign in Georgia, which involved fake voters to cast their ballots for him.

The email of December 13, 2020, contains instructions on how voters can position themselves to vote in the Electoral College in favor of Trump, despite President Joe Biden’s victory in the state. Despite the plan, all 16 state votes were cast in favor of the Biden-Harris ticket the next day.

In an email sent by a Trump campaign official, fake voters were instructed on how to break into the Georgia State Capitol, sign certificates declaring they were there to vote for the state, and ultimately oppose the will of the state. state voters by voting for Trump. instead.

“I must ask for your complete discretion in this process,” wrote Robert Sinners, chief operating officer of the Trump campaign in Georgia, according to media reports. “Your commitments are imperative to ensure the end result – a victory in Georgia for President Trump – but they will be hampered unless we have complete secrecy and discretion.

According to The Post, voters were told to inform the security of the building that they had a meeting with one of the state senators to enter.

“Please, at no time should you mention anything to do with the presidential election or talk to the media,” Sinners wrote in bold, according to the publication.

Georgia was one of seven states in which Trump’s allies sent fake documents to the National Archives, falsely declaring that he had won in them. The documents bore the signatures of Trump supporters who claimed to be valid voters, but were in fact fraudsters who had no legitimate role in verifying the election results.

The issue of rigged voters in Georgia is currently being investigated by Fanny Willis, Fulton County Attorney.

In a statement to The Post, Sinners said he had simply followed instructions from senior campaign officials and David Shaffer, chairman of the Republican Party of Georgia.

“Following the former president’s refusal to accept the election results and allow a peaceful transition to power, my views on the issue have changed significantly from what they did on December 13,” said Sinners, who now works for Georgian Secretary of State Brad Rafensperger. – a known enemy of Trump.

Shaffer’s lawyer told The Post that Shaffer had passed all his reports on the January 6 election to the Capitol riot commission.

“Neither of these reports nor his testimony suggest that Mr. Shaffer has asked for or wanted privacy around the interim voters,” Shaffer’s lawyer told the paper.

Trump’s representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Insider.
