“At first he cheated on me,” Peyton joked of Warriors head coach Steve Kerr.
One month and two days after the fracture of my left elbow in Memphis, I didn’t feel so bad for a few more seconds. In the end, he felt ready for Match 1 on Thursday night, but Kerr was comfortable using it only in an emergency.
Game 2 was an emergency in a way.
“It was disappointing knowing I could come and help my teammates,” Peyton said. “It was disappointing after the injury. Last week I knew I was very close, so it was just anticipation and just nervous, ready to go out there. “
Peyton is a necessary layer for the Warriors. What they lack in pure implementers, they compensate with dynamic wings that produce energy performance. And Peyton was so impatient that he exploded in the open because his body seemed to be moving faster than natural.
