After Rogers’ nationwide outage on July 8, the company promised it would credit customers with the equivalent of two days of service. Rogers later increased this to credit for five days of service.
Rogers’ network outage didn’t just affect Rogers, though, so some may be wondering what — if any — credits will come down the pipe from their supplier, whether it’s a side brand or a distributor.
But before we get into that, it’s worth noting that whether you subscribe directly to Rogers or get service from another company, beware of account credit scams. So far, everyone who has offered credit has said they will use it automatically. If you get a text message or email asking you to do something to get the credit—for example, click on a link—don’t do it.
Anyway, let’s get into it.
Fido

TekSavvy
Although TekSavvy is reselling Rogers Internet in some regions, the provider does not yet have detailed plans for lending to customers. When contacted by MobileSyrup, TekSavvy indicated that it did not have enough information about the situation to comment.
Oxio
Update 07/14/2022 at 7:45 PM ET: Oxio confirmed to MobileSyrup that it is now offering customers a five-day credit to match Rogers:
“Following Rogers’ latest announcement to offer 5-day prorated credit to its customers, we’ve been working hard (especially our developers) to change the credit process that was already in place to increase our compensation from 2 days to 5 days ( still pro -rated). We hope to receive compensation from Rogers and are working towards that. Just know that if we receive additional compensation, it will go directly back to you! Just like the first credit, you should see it on one of your next two bills.
For now, this is just a short list of providers. MobileSyrup reached out to some others but did not hear back prior to publication — the story will be updated with additional information as it becomes available. If you’ve heard from a provider about credits related to the Rogers outage, let us know below.
