Jan. 6 commission officials say they have found enough evidence to charge former President Donald Trump, according to the Associated Press. The allegation is a dramatic step in the commission’s work to argue with the American people that Trump and his allies are deliberately spreading misinformation about the 2020 election, especially leading to the deadly attack on the Capitol in January 2021. If the Justice Department decides to press charges, Trump will become the first president ever indicted.
