NBA star Kevin Love and model Kate Bock got married on Saturday, June 25, at a glamorous wedding at the New York Public Library in front of their families and closest friends.

With the help of their wedding organizer, Marcy Bloom, the couple turned the historic site in New York into an “inspired by the Great Gatsby Ball,” according to Bock, and all guests were asked to wear black and white.

“We thought it was chic, timeless and elegant,” she told PEOPLE.

For the ceremony, the bride was stunned in the usual, “traditional and elegant” dress of Ralph Lauren, combined with Ralph Lauren shoes, jewelry and a suitable veil the length of the cathedral. Bock’s glam team included make-up artist Lisa Aaron and hairdresser Adam McLay.

“Kevin has a great sense of style and makes the tuxedo look so good,” says Bock. “It was really fun to choose the fabrics and colors for its appearance and to choose different details from the references we took out. Seeing him mount it really made the day suddenly feel real!

The couple broke with tradition on their big day by arriving together at their wedding venue.

“Kevin and I didn’t think it was important to be divided,” Bock told PEOPLE. “We planned the wedding together, prepared together and went to the library together.”

After the ceremony and reception, guests headed to the afterparty at the Béant Park Hotel’s Célon Lounge.

In February, Bock told PEOPLE that she and Love were in sync when it came to planning the wedding.
