After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade on Friday, Lizzo promised $ 500,000 from her upcoming Planned Parenthood tour.

The Truth Hurts singer tweeted that Live Nation would match her initial $ 500,000, which would lead to $ 1 million for Planned Parenthood.

“I promise $ 500,000 from my upcoming Planned Parenthood and Abortion Rights tour. “Live Nation has agreed to coincide – to make $ 1 MILLION,” she wrote.

Lizo explained that she would send money from the proceeds to the National Network of Abortion Funds after a fan asked her to send “money directly to the abortion funds.”

At the time, Lizo mentioned Governor Greg Abbott’s decision to treat transgender medical procedures for children as “child abuse.”

“They take away the right of young children to have the chance to live as authentically as themselves. This is a violation of human rights,” she added.
