Monkeypox cases continue to rise as Canada reports new cases
As the world grapples with a continued surge in monkeypox cases, Canada recently reported a surge and confirmed 604 active cases today.

Monkeypox diseases show no signs of slowing down. According to the latest data, the total number of reported cases worldwide is 15,378 from 71 countries. 15,135 cases were reported from countries with no previous history of the disease, and 243 cases were from countries that had the disease before.
The Public Health Agency of Canada reported a total of 604 cases today. Most of the cases were reported from Quebec City. Canada’s federal government said Wednesday it will fund and support community-based organizations to address the country’s monkeypox problem.
Cases of monkeypox in India
Most recently, India reported two cases of monkeypox in the state of Kerala. The patients are currently being treated. Monkey pox alert has been issued in 14 districts of Kerala. Officials also set up help desks at four airports to monitor international travelers.
Updates from other nations
The countries most affected are the European nations and the United States. In the US, there are more than 600 probable and confirmed cases in 47 US states and territories. European nations have reported a total of 8,639 cases as of July. The UK has reported 2,137 cases, including 2,050 in England, 13 in Northern Ireland, 51 in Scotland and 23 in Wales.

- If you have any symptoms of monkeypox, talk to your healthcare provider, even if you don’t think you’ve had contact with someone who has monkeypox.
Monkeypox vaccine
According to a Reuters report, around 54,000 additional doses of vaccine have been provided by the European Commission for cases of monkeypox. the vaccine was developed by the Danish headquarters of biotech firm Bavarian Nordic. They had initially delivered around 110,000 doses to the European Commission.
