Pickering restaurant owner faces new sexual assault charges after three more victims are announced, police said

Police have filed additional charges against the owner of the Pickering restaurant after three other victims came out on charges of sexual assault.

The man was initially arrested earlier this month after a 16-year-old woman who worked at his restaurant on Kingston Road claimed he had touched her inappropriately at work.

In a press release issued Thursday, police said three other victims have since made “similar allegations”.

The suspect, identified as 64-year-old Esmail Jafarisfidvajan, now faces three additional charges of sexual violence and three additional charges of sexual exploitation.

He was released with a promise to appear in court.

Police say they are continuing to investigate the case and are asking everyone with new information to contact the child. Const. Brown of Serious Crimes – Special Victims Unit at 1 (888) 579-1520 ext. 5305.
